More Tags 2

This series is my first venture into art tags. I need to expore some other techniques cause this are a bit simple in concert. However, I'm pretty pleased with my first efforts. Will definitely do more of these!

Tags!

Had a great time doing these. Plan to finish this evening making more. Yes, these were inspired by Michelle Cummings of FaerieDustDreams.com. She had a tag kit swap on her site. Thes two tags (front and back) are from the kit she sent. There is a lot in here! Enough for more tags. Other folk in the swap sent terrific kits, too. So, those who know me well know what a complete disaster my scrap room is right now! It is officially the MESS room. But, I am having fun! I've no idea what I'll do with these. Maybe put them in a basket for my coffee table - just to enjoy.
Thanks for visiting!

Sunday Afternoon!

I felt like creating but wasn't feeling so "creative" so I made a 2 page LO I've had from a Scrapbook Station kit designed by Shelley Surratt. Stepanie had a class at the Paper Garden Boutique and I made these great cards today. Very fun and cute! Visit her blog for more of her classes and more great cards! (It's in my list of favorites). She sells all the stuff to make them, of course! Her pictures of the cards are better than mine, too!

A Baker's Dozen

OK, was it was supposed to be 13 LO's with one of thirteen items on each?
The items:
1 - Transparency
2 - Circles
3 - Thickers (if you don't have use alphabets you do have)
4 - Bling
5 - Ribbon
6 - Rub-ons
7 - 2 Patterned Papers
8 - Paper flower
9 - 6 or more brads
10 - Chipboard
11 - Buttons
12 - Rubber duck
13 - Flourish
It probably looks like a hodgepodge but I put everything on one LO. I had most of this stuff in my stash. Used 3 Cosmo Cricket patterned papers but they were left overs from the album I made at My Green Tangerine on NSD. The Hambly transparency I attached at the bottom of the page was a left over, also. Don't you love those fuzzy red brads? (I think they are Creative Imaginations.) The paper flowers and the yellow sqiggle flourish were from a matching page of Cosmo Cricket die cuts. Heidi Swapp bling. Assorted rub ons. Ribbon Cosmo Cricket, We R Memory Keepers and stash. Chipboard piece in right corner a left over from another project. Used Tim Holtz crackle paint in green with his denim distress ink pad on top to get the teal colored chipboard Thickers letters for "Joe". Not sure if the buttons are co-ordinates of the paper or not but they work well.
The rubber ducky gave me something to say about this page. After 20 years it's hard to journal!
Who would have guessed that the mismatched sweats I was so upset that the nanny let son, Joe, wear to his photo shoot would work so well with contemporary 2008 supplies? This was fun! (I really do not have time to do 13 LO's). I used the May monthly sketch from the Fiskars crafts site, too. So, I really challenged myself.

Hair Day

You know how good you look after you have your hair done and you wish you could take a photo right then and there. Well, today I did just that!
It was a great day. In part, I started off happy because I got the prettiest tulip bouquet from son, Chris, yesterday. I also got a precious photo of the eldest grandkids in a cute card.
So, hair done. Took time to do some of my journaling assignments from May Flaum while waiting for the color to set. May gives very good inspiration. I'm tempted to repeat her class at BPS. She says it's the same class but she Gretchen and Tena have had the most fun classes! Though I've learned a GREAT deal in all the classes I take at BPS.
Unfortunately, there are way too many folk who wanted to take the photography 101 course so I missed out on registration because of the hair appointment. Oh well, maybe next time.
Found some great "stuff" at Tuesday Morning. When will I ever find the time to make ART with all this? Whatever! Need to dream BIG!
Joe and I went shopping. He seemed very organized today and plans to come over tomorrow. We'll find some activity to do together. (Hmmm, he has no money but I've thought of a great gift. I need my mattress turned. Watch out big guy, your Mom has PLANS!)
I think the other son, Joe (stepson - I'm no George Foreman) will be dropping by with his family. Grandson's BD tomorrow. Very cool!
Cal and I bought some plants for the back patio area and we got some new cushions for the garden chairs. Looks very spiffy. I set up my little Zen meditation corner too. Just need some accessories - like a fountain, Budda head, or chimes and maybe some bamboo in a pot.
Laundry and tidying up are works in progress and a little crafting got done but not nearly enough and then tomorrow bill paying must be done!
Thanks for checking in to the site.

Fisk-A-Toes!

Had a great time at the NSD crop at My Green Tangerines in Rocklin, CA this past weekend as shown in this souvenir LO from the event. I believe it was designed by Laura Clark.
Wore green on Friday and orange on Sunday in honor of Fiskateers and had my manicure done to match!
Voila! Fiska Toes! I won some fun little prizes and they had some very nice goodie bags. The make and takes included a primary color/teal album with oodles of pages! Fun to do but it seriously ate into my time to do anything else. I did, of course, bring everything but the kitchen sink! Lost one of my Fiskars squeeze punches but maybe it'll show up. Too bad, it is the one I really NEED, right now. There were fun clear tags altered with alcohol inks and a great luggage tag making contest that was very fun! Great ctreativity and some really beautiful ones! Well, back to work and reality. I have some serious cleaning up to do so may not get any projects done for a few days. Thanks for dropping by!

My continuing dating saga

This morning, I criticized a supposed professional for lousy spelling when replying to a brief text message on a dating site. If grammatica...
