Yummy Fiskars tools and Wausau papers!
Hot, hot, hot here in the Central Valley. Wish I could have been at the pool but had to spend time at the office doing my disability paperwork and cleaning out my near 20 year collection of STUFF!

Flowers can make me happy

I just loved how cheery these flowers looked at the supermarket. I had to buy them. They make me smile. Such a sunny look!
Mums and roses are always safe flowers for my allergies as are carnations. These snapdragons are not proving to be much of a problem, thank goodness.

OK, I'm, tardy. Just started on the cover of my ECWL (everyone can write a little) class taught by Cathy Zielske at
Love the sparkle on the striped front cover paper - My Mind's Eye. Just waiting for a delicious moment to use that stuff. But, now, do I buy more? A dilemma, as I love my stash! Some folk have a passion to just use it, others to collect. I'm sure I'm more of the latter than the former.
Nonetheless, I am creating today. It's a big step as this is a digital scrapbooking class and I've started a lot of those classes but never have finished any of them. Something about digital I must get past. Not that I do not do hybrid pages, but "lumpy" is my style. No, I only sometimes pile on embellishments; but, I think the categories of scrapping are just those: digital, lumpy and hybrid.

CBC: Clean Before the Cleaner

My reply to Angela Daniel's blog post on the CBC.
If you work a cleaner is not a luxury but a necessity. My cleaner does not always do the job as well as I'd like but does it well enough. Getting the carpets steam cleaned and the windows cleaned and using an air filter help keep down the dust anyways!
I, too, do the CBC because I cannot stand the way everything gets stacked up together when the cleaner tidies.
I do it enough impossible stacking myself (I no longer am embarrassed when my husband asks what color wood the dining room table is, or if we even have one - that room's where terminal clutter goes!)
Having a DH who cooks is a real treat. Well, more than a treat, really. I have baked but rarely cook. I look at baking as scientific like planned experiments vs cooking which is like art and not an art I've persued. I burned the pork chops on our first date and that sealed the deal.
After all, years of long hours in the hospital mean lots of basic unexciting hospital food was the mainstay of my diet for so many years. Even now, many times my main meal is the cafeteria at work since I get home too late for DH's meal.
I'm putting this long reply on my blog since I did run on about my life. But, I completely am there with you Angela.
